• Pick up a tax packet o IN PERSON: Pick up your tax packet by going to the basement level of the library and following the posted signs. No appointment is needed to pick up a packet. Packets can be picked up Mon, 10-5, Wed 10-5 and 6-8, Th 10-5, F 10:30-5 and Sat 9:30-2. o ONLINE: Download the tax packet INSTRUCTIONS and FORMS. You will have to print some of the pages yourself. Look for the printer icon to find out what has to be printed. • Fill out your tax packet The tax packet consists of our contact information, hours, 3 tax forms, a page of instructions and, if you pick your packet up at the library, an envelope. • Schedule a 20 minute Intake Appointment to go over your completed tax packet, your site and tax forms, ID(s) and Social Security Number(s). CALL 304-232-8985 during our open hours. Do NOT leave a message. We do not listen to messages and will not call you back. • What do I bring to my Intake Appointment? Bring the items indicated on the Instructions Sheet included in your tax packet. • Meet with an Intake Volunteer who will go through your tax packet with you during your appointment to make sure your forms are filled out correctly and we have everything needed to prepare your return, including your written consent. • Participate in an interview with your tax preparer. The preparer asigned to your return will call you to conduct an interview about the tax topics on your return based on your forms and intake interview. • Review and sign your return Someone from the site will call you to schedule a 15 - 20 minute time slot when we will review your return with you. When complete, you will sign your tax return and leave with your copy. If you have a spouse, both of you should be present at the review since you will both have to sign your return.
